Case Management & IEP Implementation: Develop and implement high-quality Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring all mandated services are delivered with fidelity.

Instructional Delivery: Provide differentiated instruction aligned with grade-level power standards, utilizing evidence-based tools such as the TeachTown curriculum.

Behavioral Support: Collect behavioral data and implement behavior intervention plans in coordination with the District Behavior Specialist.

Supervision of Support Staff: Direct the daily work of Teaching Assistants and Aides, ensuring fidelity in implementing IEPs, providing student-specific instructional and behavioral support, and assisting with non-instructional or physical care tasks.

Vocational Programming: Support the High School Vocational Independence Program (VIP) cohort, focusing on life skills, social communication, and early transition planning.

Parent Communication: Directly and frequently communicate with families about service delivery, IEP implementation, and logistical support.

NYSAA Administration: Support the logistics, data collection, and administration of the New York State Alternate Assessment in collaboration with the Assistant Director of PPS and NYSAA Coordinator.

Collaboration: Work closely with the PPS Leadership Team, including the Director, Assistant Director, District Behaviorist, and Secondary Department Chairperson, to ensure a strong, vibrant culture of advancement.
Qualifications

NYS Certification in Special Education.

Demonstrated experience with students requiring alternate assessments and significant curriculum modifications.

Strong knowledge of data-driven instruction and NYSAA administration

Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and multi-disciplinary teams.
