Long-Term Leave Replacement: Spanish Teacher (Two Consecutive Leave Opportunities)

Irvington Union Free School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Spanish educator to fill two consecutive long-term leave replacement assignments during the 2026-2027 school year. This unique opportunity offers the possibility of continuous employment from September through February while working with students in both middle and high school.

Assignment 1

September through November 2026

  • Shared Middle School/High School position

  • Grade 6 Spanish

  • Intermediate-level high school Spanish courses

Assignment 2

November 2026 through February 2027

  • High School only

  • Intermediate-level Spanish courses

  • Advanced Placement Spanish

Qualified candidates may be considered for both assignments or for either assignment individually.

Social Studies Teacher - High School - L/R

Long-Term Leave Replacement, Social Studies Teacher
Irvington High School
Approximate Dates: September 13, 2026 – December 2026 (12-week assignment)

Irvington High School is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Social Studies teacher for a 12-week leave replacement position beginning on or about September 14, 2026.

Teaching Assignment:

  • Regents United States History and Government

  • Regents Global History and Geography II

  • One section of AP Research

The ideal candidate will be passionate about engaging students in meaningful historical inquiry, fostering critical thinking, and creating a positive classroom environment. Experience teaching Regents-level Social Studies courses is preferred. Familiarity with AP Research, or a willingness to collaborate closely with department colleagues to support students in the course, is desirable.

$325/per diem
